Le Moderato ‘Revolutionary Cuvée’ Merlot-Manseng Rosé (0.5% ABV)
Description:
The Revolutionary Cuvée Manseng-Merlot Rosé is an innovative alcohol-free wine from Gascony, a region known for its moderate climate and ideal conditions for quality-grown Gros Manseng grapes - a super-cool yet little known varietal unique to this region. Founded in 2020 by Sébastien Layé, whose family heritage is rooted in Cognac winemaking, and Fabien Dessens, an innovator in beverage craftsmanship, Le Moderato is revolutionizing French wine—full flavour, without the alcohol.
Their wines are crafted at Le Chai Sobre, France’s first centre of excellence for alcohol-free winemaking, sustainably developed in partnership with a local cooperative. A gentle, low-temperature distillation technique preserves the wine’s aromatic profile and natural character, ensuring every sip remains fresh, expressive, and beautifully balanced.
Tasting Notes:
Fresh qunice, red berries, delicate floral notes with light spice. A soft acidity, with a round mouthfeel and a refreshing finish.
Pairing Suggestions:
Sweet & savoury appetisers, seasonal salads and grilled salmon.
Why We Love It:
Complex and understated, this is a unique rosé wine that delivers the real deal—just without the alcohol. It’s a bold new take on French tradition, crafted for modern, mindful drinkers.
Vive la Révolution!
