As a dedicated Pinot Noir lover, I was a little...apprehensive about this wine, before I tried it. After all, we all know how difficult it can be to deliver great quality dealcoholized red wine...and Pinot Noir is one of the most expressive and delicate grapes in wine -so translating its purity into alcohol-free form is no small feat.
However, the DIVIN Vigneron Edition Pinot Noir does it with poise and authenticity—standing confidently on its own rather than imitating what came before.

Tasting Context
Producer / Series: DIVIN — Premium ‘Vigneron Edition’ collection
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir (Loire-Valley heritage)
Style: Partially oak-aged (20% of the blend, 4 months in French oak), the remainder stainless steel — striking a balnce between wood and fruit.
Suggested Serving: Chilled (12-16°C), paired with salmon, roasted vegetables, truffle cheese, duck or lamb.
Information: <0.5% alcohol, 15 kcal/100ml with 2g natural sugars, suitable for vegans
Nose (Aromas)
On the nose, bright red cherry and wild strawberry open first, gently supported by cranberry, violets and a light savoury edge. After a solid swirl, hints of forest floor earthiness and delicate dried herbs deepen the experience, without heaviness.
Overall, the nose is bright, clear and refined — exhibiting a delicate floral-fruity character with a touch of oak complexity.
Palate (Taste & Mouthfeel)
The palate is beautifully balanced: fresh red fruit carries through with lively cool-climate Pinot acidity and fine, integrated tannins that provide structure and length. Light savoury notes—think tea leaf and subtle earth—keep it grounded and food-friendly. The clean, dry finish reinforces its elegant profile, with that refreshing natural acidity making this wine very seductive indeed.
What stands out most is harmony. Nothing feels forced or amplified; instead, there’s finesse, clarity, and a true sense of varietal character that Pinot lovers (like me) will recognise and appreciate.
Food Pairing & Serving Suggestions
Because of its bright natural acidity, pure fruit, layers of complexity, and subtle oak character, this premium Pinot works beautifully with:
Grilled salmon — yes, red wine with fish is a thing!
Truffle cheese - a match made in heaven, as the acidity cuts through the fat, and flavours combine in harmony
Mushroom dishes - the delightfully earthy undertones compliment mushroom beautifully
Winter salads - beetroot, walnuts, goat cheese, pomegranate
Poultry dishes - roast chicken or duck
Delicate desserts — lemon-based tarts, light fruit sorbets, citrus pastries
Serve room temperature or slightly chilled (12-16°C) to do it full justice; use a nice wide-bowl red wine (or Burgundy) glass to appreciate the complex aromas .

Verdict: Who This Wine Is For
This is a standout example of what a dealcoholised red wine should be: structured, layered and true to its varietal character.
For mindful drinkers — It proves “non-alcoholic” doesn’t mean “compromised.” Clearly defined fruit, lively acidity, and gorgeous silky tannins give you all the joy of a premium quality Loire Valley Pinot Noir, without the alcohol.
For red wine lovers & sommeliers — The oak ageing and refined Pinot character bring structure and complexity — rare among non-alc reds. It’s versatile and serious enough for refined dining or pairing menus, and I can’t wait to explore this further at home myself.
For novices & curious sippers — Well, this is a premium wine, with lots going on...and with the quality and winemaking involved, it isn't cheap. However, this producer also makes a lighter, fresher style of Pinot Noir, which could be a good starting point, if you're looking to explore this beautiful grape variety for the first time.
Final Thoughts…
